We’re pleased to announce our last Stop and Search podcast event of the year. We’re going to be saying goodbye to our 2017 podcast event’s programme with a tantalizingly good panel who are very knowledgeable on an extremely important subject: ‘Narconomics’ and the Latin American Drugs Trade. To book your place, click this link. And don’t forget to check out past Stop and Search episodes.
Join us on the 27th November – we’ll be firstly talking to Tom Wainwright, journalist at The Economist and author of the book, Narconomics: How to Run a Drug Cartel. Tom was based in Mexico for a few years and we’ll be discussing his book as well as his insights into the economics of the drug trade. If that’s not enough, we’ll later be joined by two panelists who also have a great deal of knowledge of Latin America and the region’s rather unique ‘war on drugs’. Joining the panel will be:
Ed Vulliamy – formerly a writer for The Guardian and Observer, Ed has written extensively on the ‘war on drugs’
Juan Fernandez Ochoa – Campaigns and Communications Officer at the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC)
And of course, Tom Wainwright from The Economist and author of Narconomics
