[Listen] Drugs: Think of the Children – New Podcast
|Welcome to our first blog and Stop and Search podcast of 2017. Happy New Year! We start the year with a very engaging chat with some great guests. Joining us, live and in front of an audience at Tottenham Court Road Waterstones, we have:
Mark Grist – spoken word artist, battle rapper, former teacher, Mark is very well placed to discuss education and how we can talk to our emerging generations. Mark has also battled the Distraction Pieces Network boss, Scroobius Pip.
Dr Chris Van Tulleken – Dr Chris is part of the BAFTA winning CBBC show Operation Ouch. He was most recently on BBC One presenting the case for a reduction in prescribed medication in The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs – Dr Chris has also been known to take drugs on live television (as part of Channel 4’s Drugs Live).
And joining the panel we have LEAP UK’s Chairman and author of Good Cop, Bad War, Neil Woods.
So, drugs – think of the children… it’s a big cliche isn’t it? But how do we really go about talking to our younger generations about drugs? How do we tell the truth if this goes against ingrained perspectives? Listen in – and get involved in the conversation.
Stop and Search is part of Scroobius Pip’s Distraction Pieces Network, brought to you by Acast, produced in association with LEAP UK. Please find us, subscribe and rate us on iTunes.
Today, my MS is bad enough to keep me indoors. The only tasks I can handle today are visiting the grow room, preparing lunch and settling down to listen to this podcast. Thank you for this intellectual discussion about the War On Drugs.
